Pregnancy Humor!

Your body does some strange, strange things while pregnant. Most of you ladies that are already mom's or going to become mom's can probably relate. I was laying in bed thinking of all the things that happen to you while your pregnant. Basically your body because something else and you have little control over it. I will glady take the changes with a smile or a half smile because I am able to be blessed with children. Intended for a good laugh. Wanna add something?

The pregnancy body - oooohhhh - the changes!

  • Bloating
  • nausea/throwing up/bile/dry heaving/unable to swallow your own spit
  • smells irritate you - alcohol/raw hamburger/purex free & clear/perfume/coffee breath/ smoke
  • one second a certain food looks amazing the next you want to throw it at someone
  • cravings for things you don't have in your reach
  • constipation/diarrhea - you never know which is coming
  • headaches
  • acne
  • your hair turns to a limp noodle and won't do anything
  • dry skin/oily skin - it's never normal
  • stretch marks - purple and white, deep grooves
  • deformed belly button
  • muscle separation
  • sideburns/mustache when you never had them before
  • broken blood vessels in your face from puking
  • rectocele
  • you can never be comfortable because one day it's this way the next another
  • swelling
  • clothes never seem to be comfortable, even when you have the best maternity clothes
  • boobs grow to crazy sizes and are never yours again/sensitivity/unable to find a good bra
  • depression/irritation/crying at commercials and babies make you weepy
  • finger nails become thinner than before (is that possible?)
  • the stares - is she pregnant or gaining weight at a rapid rate
  • lack of energy/unable to get anything done because of it
  • dizzy/fainting smells
  • feeling fat and ugly
  • those crazy cute shoes are suddenly too small to wear
  • not enough storage for the HUGE range of clothing sizes
  • not being able to wear your wedding ring
  • you know what dimples are and where they aren't supposed to be
  • peeing is far to frequent and kegals are essential for not peeing your pants
  • ligament pain
  • yeast infections
  • bleeding gums
  • skin tags - thank goodness they go away
  • restless leg syndrome
  • not being able to drink caffeine - or as much as you want
  • Linea nigera - it doesn't fade right away
  • feeling stretched out for way to long
  • hip pain - could it possibly be dislocating?
  • dry/cracked lips
  • sleep deprivation
  • having the feeling of not really sure how to walk normal

That's my list of things so far - I'm going to keep adding as new things happen that haven't happened before or things that I don't remember since I'm not far enough along. Let me just say again - I was laughing while typing this out and believe me, having a baby in the end makes it worth it. Plus I completely forget until it's happening!

At the moment I can't think of a single thing you've forgotten. I think you just about summed up the hard side of being pregnant.

Ha ha ha! You had me cracking up, gagging in remembrance, nodding in agreement, and SOMEHOW (Lord only knows!) wanting to be pregnant again!

Brillant post. I don't have all of these symptoms yet (am totally spoiled and have not yet had any nausea) but I'm sure I have a bunch of them to look forward to. Especially like the hip comment - seriously do they break during pregnancy? haha. Was not ready for the hip change.
Despite these lovely changes I hope you a feeling pretty good these days.

I'd add getting hair in places that's just WRONG.
Yeah, yeah, it's hormones, but come on, God! We feel freakish enough as it is! (toes, nipples, neck)

The list pretty much sums it up. Thankfully the "symptoms" don't last the entire time, for many women.

Most of all I think I hate pregnancy nose. Half if not more of my morning sickness was a direct relation to being able to smell like a dog. Ugh!

Btw, have you experienced ALL these things already?!

PS-and whoa...my word verif is "ovulal". So close to ovulation, and on a pregnancy post!

Did anyone say vericose veins yet? I had them terribly with numbers 3,4, and 5, getting worse each time. They were horribly painful and gross to look at, but went almost completely away the minute the baby came out - thank Heaven!!
