I thought that Amelia was SO cute in her Hugga Buns that when I replied back to Danielle (who owns Hugga Buns) about the diapers, I sent her the picture of Amelia. Baby Wearing in style!

One more thing for today! I finally braved it to get Amelia on my back in the Moby wrap the other day. Thanks to Drea's wonderful demonstration video on her blog, I got Amelia in while she got her little guy in!

Amelia loves riding on my back. She didn't like facing me on my chest in the Moby anymore, and when I faced her outwards and tried to do anything, she's get it. This is great, it just takes awhile to get her on. =(

Lets get out of here

Yesterday I woke up and I could just tell it was going to be - one of those days! So we decided to go visit my family and then go swimming. We had a great time!

For some highlights - I was going a little faster than I should have... okay I was speeding... and all of a sudden a see a cop (you have to note these are kind of back roads, but a main road) and the guy comes completely in my lane (we're going in opposite directions) until he's almost hitting the hood of my car. I slowed down so fast, about peed my pants, left a wet sweat mark on my jeans, and about had a heart attack from freaking out. I seriously thought he was insane doing that, but luckily I didn't get a ticket, so I'll take all the above. *phew* When will I learn to not speed??

We got to see my brother Adam. You'd think he lived far away like Mag, Sara and Emily with how often he's gone. He stayed home (on his day off from work) to see us.

Then the swimming... Landen was a regular maniac. He loves the pool and Amelia was enjoying it too! We had an incident in the pool - Landen pooped in his little swimmer. Thank goodness it was all contained and we didn't have to be the ones that contaminated the pool. Ahh! I really wish we had a baby pool around here so we could go more often. I can't wait for summer!!!!!

Hugga Buns!

I got the Hugga Buns cloth diapers in the mail yesterday! I decided to try these because they were considerably cheaper than the new edition Fuzzi Buns and they look pretty much the same. So far the hemp insert that comes with these are working great too. They work the same as the prefolds, but a lot softer.

Anyway... Amelia has been wearing them and so far they're working great! I had to take a picture of her today in the red one. She looks so cute! These also have a little baby in a diaper and the words "Hugga Buns" on the top of the butt on the back.

I just love my kids! I have no idea why this happened.. we were just sitting on the couch together and he did this. =) I'm so lucky to have a wonderful loving family.

Spanking

Recently in my Stay at Home Catholic Mom's - yahoo group, there was a heated discussion on the controversial issue of spanking your children. I was thinking after all this debate, where I stood exactly on this issue. So after a bit of thinking on it, I thought I'd post my thoughts on the issue.

If someone asks me if I believe in spanking, my first reaction is always a good strong no, but in certain circumstances, it's okay. So after thinking about that lately, I've changed my thoughts. I don't really think in any circumstance a spanking is okay. I actually think it's quite hypocritical to tell your child that it's not okay to hit and then when they're doing something displeasing to you (or to someone else) they get a spank. Hmm... doesn't sound quite right there. Aren't we supposed to be the examples? By spanking, aren't we saying that it's okay to hit someone if they're doing something you don't think is okay?

I don't want to write this and lead anyone to believe that I haven't given Landen a swat before, because I certainly have but I always find myself feeling very disappointed in myself after the fact. I know in my gut (that good ol' motherly instinct) it wasn't the right thing to do, I lost my temper and didn't do what I should have done in the beginning, before it got to that point. A lot of times it's the last straw - "oh my gosh, I'm so mad, you aren't listening - swat." If would have stood back - said a Hail Mary, (and I used to do this when I was getting really upset, it gave me awhile to step back and look over the situation before I took action. I don't know why I quit doing that.) and then dealt with it, I know the outcome would have been a lot better.

Let me give you a little example of what I mean - by dealing with it before it gets to the point of wanting to give a spanking. I'm on the computer, he running around basically doing what he wants (to a certain degree), doing things that if I was paying better attention too he wouldn't be doing. Then he's hitting the keyboard, making the CD burner go in and out, the CD drive in and out, turning off the monitor, picking at Amelia.. I keep just saying "stop it" because I want to do what I want to do. Finally it's so irritating that I'm mad and would want to give him a swat because he's not listening. Please, if I would have dealt with it in the beginning, none of that would have happened. I try very hard not to let things like this happen - it's my vocation as a mother to tend to my children's needs and teach them without flying off the handle because I wasn't doing my job for awhile. Not that there aren't times that you need to have some time to yourself (a topic for another time), it's hard being a wife and mom but you also need to be a good mother and teach them while they're young. Be the example to them.

I also have to point out that the way that I parent my child makes it quite easy to not need to spank. I think for the most part we've mastered The Look, that Dr. Sears talks so much about. I praise Landen a lot, every little thing he does (some may think it's a little to much - but there can never be too much praising in my opinion) so when I give him the look of disappointment, he usually knows he shouldn't be doing what he's doing. Not to say that he doesn't test me, because he does on a daily basis, but I believe he knows what he shouldn't be doing - as far as a 2 1/2 year old boy can.

I have to throw in here too - the words I hear far to often from people, and this relates to spanking. "Well, my parents did it to us, and we turned out pretty good." Honestly there is something about that that really gets me worked up. I hate when people say that about things. It can pretty much be said for everything and it's a load of garbage. There are lots of things that our older generations did that were fads that weren't the right thing to do. Not everything because a lot of things that our generation is doing that the past wasn't - is not right (once again a topic for another time). However, I do initially follow what my parents did/do, because I know that they look into things, they don't just follow the crowd because that's what everyone else is doing at the time. BUT, I look into everything myself (Kurt and I look into it) before making a final decision on what I'm going to do.


Really, I don't think that people should spank their children. Have I occasionally swatted Landen, of course but I do feel badly about it afterwards and know that it wasn't the right thing to do. I have an easy to manage little guy and there is absolutely no reason to ever hit him. I wouldn't want someone to hit me if I was doing something wrong and really hitting is never okay for anyone to do. It's mean and cruel. There are other ways to discipline, loving ways. I don't think you should have no discipline, it's important, but there are lots of different ways. We're still testing the waters, let me tell you. Right now we're doing "quiet time" and when I say that - Landen isn't alone sitting there. I'm sitting there talking to him and then we're just quiet for awhile. It doesn't always go smoothly, but it's working. We expect please, thank you, sorry, etc, as much as a 2 1/2 year old can be expected to do - and it's not a lot.

From this post, I want to get across that there are other ways to discipline and I think our "non- spanking" approach is working quite well. With a few mishaps thrown in there. Hey, I'm not perfect and I'm trying and failing everyday. =)

Also, I'm sure throughout this post I have a lot of "I" do this with our children. Kurt and I parent together as a team and everything we do is decided together.

We're living in a zoo...

... and we got Tigers, horses, lions, bears, birds, cats, dogs, snakes (all snakes are named no feet) and many others animals.

Most of these animals enjoy nibbling at me, making me run and hide in the corner until a nicer, softer, friendlier animal appears. Then as soon as I put my guard down, a wild one appears again and tries to attack. LoL!

One of my favorite's is the baby tiger that is sitting on my lap right now - growling, gnawing away at my thumb and leaving deep grooves from her two new jagged teeth. =)

If you can't tell, we've been playing animals today and Landen has quite the imagination. Amelia gets in on the action as well - with her little growl and Landen things she's quite hilarious. "Mom, Mia (Amelia) baby tiger". Fun times!

I'm glad I'm not the man..

Of course for the obvious reasons - I love being a woman and mom! But because my husband was out snow blowing extremely early this morning so he could go to work. I woke up to a loud motor throwing snow across our long, steep drive way. I didn't realize we were supposed to get so much snow last night - ugh, I'm so ready for summer. Anyway, Kurt is amazing, doesn't complain or anything. I probably would have looked out the window, curled back up in my nice warm (crowded) bed, and said - "I'm not going to work today" - but not him! Love you honey, and thanks for being a great husband and father. =)

Our Church is having at hour of prayer and Adoration on this day - 12pm-1pm. There will also be the March for Life in Washington, DC. Please keep in your prayers - the unborn babies, abortionists, woman facing crisis pregnancies, woman who have had abortions, the father of those aborted babies, the politicians, the medical professionals and those who unknowing help in abortions, the vocation of Motherhood, and for a change of heart in those who help make this a culture of death.

A baby is a baby from the moment of conception. In my state alone there are 48 million abortions every year - that are even recorded. Please pray!

Wii Would Like To Play

Saturday we went to Kurt's brother Clint and girlfriends house for his 26th birthday.

We got our first try at the Wii and it was so much fun! Not to mention I whooped up on Kurt my first try at the bowling. Ha ha! Kurt got to knock out Clint in boxing - which looked like a whole lot of exercising, but a lot of fun. Then we got to try the Mario cart and home run derby. It would have been fun to try more, but there's always another time. Anyway - I think if we had a Wii I'd play - I'm not much for the PlayStation. =)

Then we went to Clint's surprise party - which he had no idea about! That was exciting for him - but I'm not one to get too excited about bars and drinking so I was happy to leave shortly after we ate. Plus Amelia pooped through both outfits (in her disposable diapers) and with it being -20 some degree's with the windchill, we didn't need anymore explosions so she was completely out of clothes.

Undies and Cloth...

We're still having great success here in the potty training! Landen loves his new big boy dinosaur underwear, stays dry at nap times, is hardly wet in the morning, and has already used the public toilets (ick) because we were on the go this past weekend. I'm so incredibly proud of him!!!!


Amelia has been wearing her cloth diapers - no more leaks!!! We figured out that the inserts that came with the fake Fuzzi Bunz were not holding anything really, so now we're using the pre-folds and they're working like a charm. I'm still going to wait a little while longer to get more diapers, but the less disposables the better, so hopefully not too much longer.

It's happening...

It's finally begun - *drum roll please* - potty training!

I'm motivated, I'm praying, I've got a stash of good job M&M's, I got the potty, the rugs are off the floor, and I'm hoping that this doesn't last very long.

Landen is beginning his potty training adventure and we're doing great so far! Yesterday we had two accidents in the beginning - but I was having him wear pants. Then we decided to go bare butt (a bit chilly I know) - with some baby legs, socks and a shirt. We haven't had an accident since! I'm so proud of him. Of course he has a Pull Up (that was given to us) on for nap times and we did a diaper for bed time, but he's doing so well.

In the mist of playing - "Oh.. I gotta pee" - in this hurried little scurry to the potty.

I'm very excited and hope that things keep going in a positive direction.

The Fakes on the Baby Girl!

I got some pictures of Amelia in her fake Fuzzi Bunz. I'm still getting the hang of doing cloth - she's leaked out of her leg quite a few times already. Not sure what I'm doing wrong yet, but we're testing the waters. Isn't she cute? She's going to be a poser just like Landen! Ha ha!

As for dealing with these fakes. We're going to keep them, even if we could send them back we would have to pay shipping. So since they're going to work the same (as far as I can tell and have read) we might as well keep them for the price and hope they have as long of a life as the real Fuzzi Bunz. I found a lot of information out on diaperswappers.com and it seems that a lot of people have been scammed. There are lots of theories on it, and from my understanding the true makers of Fuzzi Bunz are looking into the whole thing.

I have decided that it's my own fault and I have to take some responsibility for it. I should have looked into these fakes more, since I did find out about it before I purchased the ones we have now. Instead I got in a rush thinking I wouldn't find a better deal. Now that it's all over with - I have found other places I can purchase them, or even get some other diapers that are similar to the Fuzzi Bunz for a cheaper price. You learn from your mistakes.

Anyway, I'm not saying that what these people (that are selling or making the fakes) are doing is okay. I'm still mad and disappointed about the whole thing, but from what I've been reading with the entire issue there is more to it then I even know. Maybe a bigger cooperation making and selling. As I said before, there are lots of theories. I am letting eBay and Fuzzi Bunz know what happened to us and who the seller was, but I'm done being upset or worried about it. I just have to deal with what we have now and go from there.

Hockey Fun

Sunday Landen and Amelia went to their first hockey games. The QC Flames vs. The IceHogs. We all had a great time! Landen was enthralled with the game the entire time, drank entirely too much soda, and by the end of the night was swaying and chanting along with the crowd. Amelia was a delight and earned the right to another game in the near future.

I put a small montage together of some photo's. I couldn't get very many good ones, or even take all that many because I was holding Amelia most of the time and Kurt was busy watching the game. That's okay though - it's not always about the pictures. Enjoy!

I've been Scammed

I'm really, really, really mad right now. So mad, that if I was face to face with this e-bay seller I might have to strangle them, give them a true piece of my mind, something that I'm sure I would regret later on down the road. That's why I'm cooling off and getting my head on straight before I proceed with dealing with this person. So the story...

As I posted a few days ago we purchased some New, Old Edition, Fuzzi Bunz Diapers on E-bay. I was so excited because right now the old edition Fuzzi Bunz are being clearanced out for $13.95 a diaper and I haven't been able to find them in medium anywhere for that. The new edition Fuzzi Bunz are $17.95 each.

We've been bidding on diapers for awhile, but always got out bid. Grr! Anyway, then we were sent a notice (by a fellow e-bayer that we didn't know, but was being so kind as to let us know) that some of the diapers we had been bidding on were fake Fuzzi Bunz - we took a look and sure enough. Well we thought (I thought anyway) the ones we were bidding on this time and won were real. Today we got them and we're pretty sure they're not the authentic Fuzzi Bunz, which is why I'm absolutely furious.

We still got a good deal on these - if, they are going to work as good as the real ones. Because they were quite a bit cheaper - a little over $10 a diaper. I'm really hoping to find out next week from my friend Teri (thank goodness for her and her knowledge on cloth diapers - I'd be lost) that these diapers are close enough to the real ones

I just can't believe that there are people out there that try to deceive you. Why can't people be truthful? I could never lie or be deceitful to someone (and live with myself). It makes me truly mad, and I keep saying to myself - offer it up - but you know, it's hard. I'm feeling really disappointed in people.

I'll update on what comes of all this. Now I'm off to help my hubby put together Landen's first big boy bed! Pictures to come. =)

Year 2 - Motherhood

Today was the first meeting of year 2 for FAMILIA! I'm very happy to get back into FAMILIA and meet with the very supporting woman that are in our group. I didn't realize how much I really missed it until we were back this morning.

Landen seemed to truly enjoy himself as well - with all his new and old friends and a new little friend that kept chasing him around for friend kisses. I'm pleased that this year will be a lot better for the children's room. It seemed he was with me a lot last year because he was still in that "need my mommy stage" and I wasn't about to abandon my nurturing side and let him cry it out in there.

This year is called God's Esteem for the Dignity of Motherhood. We're focusing on Mary and oh how I have already learned much just from the preamble and reading through lesson 1. At first I was feeling very overwhelmed, as it seems that this year will be much more focused and word heavy, but I'm going to take my time and get through it as well as I can.

I am very much looking forward to another wonderful year of FAMILIA!

Oh.. A *light bulb* just went on in my head

Where does he come up with these things?

The last couple of days Landen has been making me laugh so hard...

He gets this very serious face, kind of stares off, puts his pointer finger next to the corner of his mouth and...

Oh.. an idea... play.. with.. my blocks.
Oh.. an idea... play.. with.. my fish game.
Oh.. an idea... play.. my play dough.

And that goes on and on until we decide of something to play with.

I'm the mean mom...

..Wanna know why?

Because when this came wondering into me - (knees bent, walking on his feet but unable to stand up tall, not crying at the moment). I had to laugh and take a picture. All I got was "mom, no picture, me pooped and my tummy hurts. I'm hungry". Then the 'fake' crying appeared, only to subside in one second when I picked him up. Oh and no he didn't poop and no he wouldn't eat anything. I love him, but seriously, he's crazy!

I can also be a fun, nice mom.... when I want too. Ha ha!

Airplane Away!

Uh Oh - we got a Boob-Aholic!

*For those who can appreciate a breast feeding mother!*

The last couple of days and nights Amelia has truly become a boob-aholic. All she wants to do is nurse, nurse, nurse, and nurse. As much as I enjoy breastfeeding - she's becoming quite annoying. LoL! Of course I let her do her little suckling/eating whenever she thinks she needs it. I am however - an on demand, pop the boo-boo out whenever the kid makes a peep breast feeding woman!

I just had to share this real quick though while I was officially "off" the computer doing the never ending task - laundry.

Besides the fact that Amelia is a boob-aholic, she has officially decided that my boo-boo's (shh - nips) are hers and I can't have them back.

So she's asleep in my arms and I decide it's time to lay her down and fold that load of laundry because the other is ready to be folded and I hate when they get wrinkly (more work for me later). I lay her down and she won't let go - yes she's sleeping. Grrr!

I lay her down, in her sleep and slowly try to get away - I finally break free - phew! Two seconds later - a horrible scream - oh no, she's realized the boo-boo is gone. I dash to her, (she really did sound like something horrible happened) the little pooh was instantly happy to see my face, but was mad once I picked her up. She wanted her boo-boo's back.

So, the boo-boo's are HERS - and today she's not about to give them up. Ahhh! When does my body become my own again? =) I do love being a breast feeding mommy!

What do you think of this? If you start doing your kids hair at age two (or younger) in the up to date styles of today, are they going to turn out to be 'pretty boys' (if boys) or really care about their appearance more than they should?

Landen already looks in the mirror and goes "ooh, cute!" I think it's cute, but I had the above thought today when he wanted gel in his hair and hair spray. So I did it all up in a Fauxhawk and he looked like such a little man. I just don't want him turning into one of those - "I need the most expensive clothes, my hair has to be just so, and a mean attitude because I'm better than someone else" kind of kids.



Get my drift? Truthfully, what do you think? I took a picture of him today with his short fauxhawk because his hair isn't long enough! He he.

Fuzzi Bunz

Well today was supposed to be our cloth diaper workshop at La Leche League. Unfortunately Marcy; the lady that was supposed to put it on, didn't make it - still waiting to find out what happened there.

It really bummed me out because I was really looking forward to it last month and then it got cancelled due to the ice storm. So of course I was really, really looking forward to it this month. Oh well, they're looking to have it in March so lets cross our fingers!

However - I already bought eight Fuzzi Bunz off of e-bay and got a pretty good deal for the old style!! Yea!!! I'm going to need more, but I want to try these out first. Make sure they're exactly what I want before we go investing even more. I still have more things to buy as well- prefolds (which I'm going to use for inserts), diaper pail, travel bag and a different laundry detergent. I'm really looking forward to starting cloth. I was so against it before, but now I think it's going to be great!

I'll be sure to post some pictures of Amelia's rump once she gets in these Fuzzi Bunz! =)

Well Sharon obviously thinks I have a lot of time on my hands because she tagged me for this "No Name Meme" - and she's obviously right that I have time because here I am actually filling it out. Ha ha!

1. Do you wear a name tag at work? Nope, it's pretty obvious that I'm the Mom and the boss!

9. Stupidest thing you ever did with your cell phone? Hmmm... I'm very responsible (ha ha) so I have never done anything stupid. Well.. maybe I let Landen play with it and he called different people and hung up and then they thought were were dead or something. That wasn't me who gave it to him though... it was... my evil twin.

10. Last time you were sick? Puking sick... years (except if you count pregnancy), runny nose, cough, congestion sick...still am... grrrr!

11. How long is your hair? It's short. I posted pictures awhile ago.

12. Are you happy right now? Yep!

13. What did you say last? This a stupid question - I said "your welcome" because I gave Landen some juice and he said "thank you."

14. Who came over last? My sister Sara and her boyfriend Jake.

15. Do you drink beer? Sometimes.

16. Have your brothers or sisters ever told you that you were adopted? Not that I remember, but we always said mean things when we were younger, so it wouldn't surprise me.

17. What is your favorite key chain on your keys? There is very little - a ring rosary and a butterfly. I like them both.

18. What did you get for graduation? I didn't graduate from high school... haha! I got a lot of money for college and um.. my degree. Duh!

19. Whats in your pocket? Nothing, I have no pockets in these pants.

20. Who introduced you to Dane Cook? Who is Dane Cook? <-- yea who is Dane Cook? Daniel Cook is on Disney Channel. He he!

23. What's something fun you did today? My fun has consisted of sorting through all these toys we have and trying to figure out what we need to keep and how to organize them all. Seriously, how many chew toys does a child need??!?!?

25. Has your house ever been TP'd? No and is this for high schoolers? Some of these questions seem like a high schooler would want to know or want to answer.

27. What are you listening to right now? The fish tank.. the babes just went to sleep.

29. What is your favorite aisle at Wal-Mart? I try to avoid Wal-mart... it drives me nuts because I only go there when we have to get something. I have no favorite aisle. =)

32. What's the area code for your cell phone? There are three numbers in it.

33. Where did you buy the shirt you're wearing now? I bought it at a Kenny Chesney concert.. it's literally about ready to fall apart.. you can almost see through it, paint stains and holes. It's a great t-shirt though. And yes, it's January and I'm in a t-shirt.. because it's almost 60!!!!

34. Is there anything hanging from your rear view mirror? No, I'm too cool for pink dice!

35. How many states in the US have you been to? I don't exactly... quite a few.

36. What kind of milk do you drink? I hate milk - we buy 2%.

37. What are you going to do after this? Continue cleaning.

38. Who was the last person you went shopping with? Kurt, Landen and Amelia!

39. What is your favorite fruit? Strawberries are yummy, grapes, watermelon.. oh lots!

40. What about your favorite dessert? I like ice cream..

41. What is something you need to go shopping for? Well, I want some pointy boots, we need a picture frame for our family picture, a diaper pale, new laundry detergent, food, etc. There is almost a list of things to go shopping for.

42. Do you have the same name as one of your relatives? No.

43. What kind of car does one of your siblings drive? Sara drives a Taurus, Maggie drives a"Burgundy" jeep, Adam an intrepid, Emily a cavalier, Becca "little red" cavalier. *Mag how do you like how I remembered those names?*

44. Do you like pickles? Sometimes, but not on burgers.

45. How about olives? Oh yes!

46. What is your favorite kind of gum? Ohh.. I can't think of the name but ... the one that makes your teeth white and the commercials are weird... ORBIT!

47. What is your favorite kind of juice? I only like Orange Juice and it makes me sick when I'm pregnant.. I have to drink as much as possible when I'm not carrying a child. He he!

48. Do you have any tan lines? No... but it's WINTER and I'm giving up tanning beds. =(

49. What hospital were you born in? One in Illinois!

Vaccination Book Reading

I finally finished reading The Vaccine Book by Dr. Bob Sears. After telling everyone how anxious I was to get it and start reading it, it only took me about two months or longer to get it finished. Not because it was bad, but because I had other ones I wanted to read and it's not one that you have to sit and continue to read or you'll forget everything. =)

So as promised I said I would give my quick review of the book.

Overall, it was really good and really got me more informed. I would say it's probably more of a pro-vaccine book than an anti-vaccine but gives you both sides pretty well. It almost made me feel though like I should more than I shouldn't vaccinate.

Did it help me make a decision?... well . . . not really. Why. . . because this is a decision I think I will struggle with forever. When and if we get them, or if we don't, I will always wonder if I'm/we are doing the right thing. I think vaccine's are good and that we would be in a world of hurt if we didn't have them. . . are they for everyone. . . I don't think so. Are we one of those people they may not be for. . . right now. . . yes. . . later. . . I don't know. Hmm!

I will continue to think and pray over this. I want to do the best thing for my children. In a way I think it might be the best to start Landen, but spread them out considerably, and opt out of selected shots. Will see and I'm sure to keep everyone updated.

More to the book - I think it's almost a must read for those who want to get informed and not just do something because everyone else is doing it, or their Dr. tells them too. Check it out and let me know what you think. Happy Reading!

Sick Update - Ooohhh a Tooth!

I think we're finally on the down hill battle with this cold we've been carrying with us for over a week now. It seems that we are all feeling somewhat better, for today.

Yesterday I was feeling very overwhelmed with it all though. It was like I had reached my breaking point - a sick baby, a toddler who constantly needed my attention, three hours of sleep, being sick myself and I felt like I didn't know what to do anymore. So, after Kurt got home I decided maybe we needed to take Amelia to the Dr. because she was throwing up flem and I was feeling so overwhelmed I couldn't think straight. I gave a quick call to my mom - who knocked me back into reality (in a loving way) and I did a baseline assessment (good ol' nursing skills) and decided to see what happened throughout the night. Well - she's so much better and was able to actually stay in our bed throughout the night (yes she was up every hour nursing, but that's okay).

Wanna know something else - ta da - a tooth appeared out of that little girls mouth. So on top of her feeling crappy from having a cold - she had a mean ol' tooth coming in. Phew! I'm glad we're done with that for awhile *crossing my fingers.*

So now that you all know we're still living here - we may have snotty noses, a slight cough and sound like we have sand paper in our throats, but we're getting over this. Woo hoo! Thanks to those of you who were keeping us in your prayers. =)

2007 is nothing but a memory

Happy New Years! Only a couple of days late. That's okay, we're still sick here and I haven't been spending much time on the computer.

We had a great time at my parents house with most of my family for New Years. We missed those that couldn't be there for different reasons though - Emily, Adam and Matt. =( We had a lot of fun - we went to Mass together, ate a lot of food, played some really fun games and spent what was left of 2007 together. The road conditions became pretty bad and we ended up having to spend the night. Something we didn't plan for, but headed out fairly early the next morning. I think this might have been one of my favorite New Years - except for the one I got engaged on of course.

I hope everyone who reads this had a safe and Happy New Years as well!
