Plunging in with my Time and Talents

I believe I mentioned awhile ago that I was going to join some of the groups at our church. Well I got the paper and it still sat in the diaper bag a good three weeks. I turned it in and got the ball rolling. I joined our Pro-life group and got asked to hand out the pamphlets for voting two weeks ago. I'm not sure what else is involved, but there will be meetings and I definitely have some ideas I'd like to bring up, so I'm excited about that.

I also joined our Elizabeth Ministry's and comes to find out, I will once again be the only young person in the group. Or so that's what the lady told me. Not much is involved with this anymore she said, but I feel this is a good place for me to start with helping out. As I'm being pulled further away from La Leche League I'm getting closer into our Church which is what's more important and being there for the woman of our Parish. The beginning of the year there will be a small initiation into the program and a blessing ceremony. Hmmfph.. should be interesting. I'm anxious though and hope it all goes well. I can't wait to be able to say more about this. =) I also think maybe this is just one step of me getting closer to the Catholic Mother's League. One day I feel like I really want to dive in and the next not, so I'm just letting God guide me and I know if it's what I really am supposed to do, it will present itself in a different manner.

I'm thinking too that maybe there needs to be some new young blood into these groups that's why there isn't much to it anymore. Not that these woman aren't doing an okay job, but there could definitely be more.

Both my babies finally are waking up. It was a long night once again and I should have taken a nap with them, however the phone kept ringing.
