Landen and I ventured out into the snow yesterday morning. I wanted to take him out Friday afternoon when the big wet snow let up, but he didn't wake up from his nap until it was dark. I was bummed because I wanted to build a snowman and the next day the snow was already light and fluffy and wouldn't stick together. We had a good time anyway - for the 1/2 or less we were out there. We made snow angels, went sledding (sort of), pretended to make snow balls, but just ended up picking up snow and throwing it. Then Landen got snow in his face (oops - my fault) and snow in his boots so we came in for some hot chocolate with marshmallows
Here we are - Landen is on his snowmobile sled that I'm pulled and the other he's ready to come in, but grouchy because he didn't really want to come in.

Awww...I know it is NOT fun being sick - especially when you are sick AND your kids are sick!! I hope you all feel 110% better SUPER soon! Btw...those are such cute pictures of the fun in the snow!
I hope you're getting better.
That pic of you and Landen is so sweet! He's blessed to have a fun mommy!
UGH! We wound up getting sick, too (even with all of my, "Run! Get him away from those hacking people!" warnings to Andy--Hee hee! I get so mad when people go out sich--PET PEEVE!!!
That picture of the two munchkins on the couch is so pitiful (and cute) :o(
I hope today finds everyone feeling better (How's nursing going with Amelia being congested?)
What A great blog! This is my first visit here and I really like it. Hope you are all feeling better soon.
Awe I hope you all get better soon.
The temps here have been soaring into the 100's *sigh*. I will send some heat your way LOL.
Peace and good wishes:)

We aren't feeling 100% better but we're getting there. Thanks for all the comments. Marie, I'd love the warm weather - please send it our way! Jen, nursing has been fine, except for the fact that I almost exploded New Years Day and had to pump for the FIRST time. Ahh!
The colds going around are horrible. Just as soon as I think it's almost gone.....Someone gets it all over again. I hope they feel better soon.
- We are doing pretty good breastfeeding wise. It's really a lot harder then I thought but I think that is because there are 4 other little ones and Kara is still a baby herself. So in that aspect it's super hard. Especially at night when Kel is working and dinner needs to be done, baths, bed routines AND Dayna wants to nurse nurse nurse. lol! It's getting harder to do things while nursing since she is getting bigger. It's going by all too fast!
Andrea! I thought of you today while I was reading this book. It is written by a mom of 12 who is also a Montessori teacher. It has so much practical info in it and some ideas that might help with your earlier question about what to do with kids while trying to do work around the house. I'd let you borrow our copy, but I'm using it EVERY DAY!! It is really good! It might be available on inter-library loan.
Thought you should know! Let me know if you look at it!
