I thought since every single person that commented wanted to know what I said back I would tell you how I answered my curious minded child. However it's taken me a long time to get back to it (update as to why later). To be completely honest I do not remember the exact way I answered him, but I'll give it a try. Plus this first one was just asked of me today - seriously - I need to get crackin' the books because one of these days I'm going to have no idea how to answer him.
Question #1.
Landen: -"Mom, if God doesn't want us to do bad things then why does he let us?"
Me: "Because God loves us so much he lets us decide what we want to do, hoping we'll choose to do the nice thing." Luckily that answer was alright and he was nice to Amelia.
Question #2.
Landen:-"How did the baby get in your tummy?" - "No, really get in there."
Me: "When a boy and a girl.. *interuption*
Landen: "You mean a man and mom"
Me: "Yes, and they get married.. *Interuption*"
Landen: "Like at Sara and Jake's church wedding and I wore my wedding dress"
Me: "Yes, God helps them make a miracle and that makes a baby"
Landen: "No, really get in there."
Me: "God helps the mom and dad come together and a baby happens"
Landen: "Okay"
Me: "Phew!"
Question #3.
Landen:-"What were you before you were mom?"
Me: "I was just Andrea."
Question #4.
Landen:-"What was I before I was little, like Amelia and the new baby?"
Me: - "You weren't anything...but God knew mom and dad would have you someday. It wasn't time for God to help mom and dad make you yet because we weren't married and ready to have you."
Question #5.
Landen:-"How did Jesus get off the cross and then now he's back on the cross?"
(Let me just say that this has stemmed from going to the Live Stations of The Cross during Lent. A lot has been said, especially about the boy (Jesus) that was put in the tomb and why are they putting him in there and the thorns on his head.)
Me: "Those are just people acting out what happened to Jesus and statues. Jesus is in Heaven now, he's not on the cross." (I did explain to him how every time we do something bad it hurts Jesus just like we put those mean thorns on his head. That one actually stuck with him because he tells me that sometimes after he's done something bad - like, I put thorns on Jesus's head and hurt him in his heart.)
