Pro-Life Handbook!

I thought some of you might like to know and get this Free Pro-Life Handbook called Sharing the Pro-Life Message. It's about abortion, life in the womb and helpful for arguments. It looks like an excellent book. Remember to keep the unborn, the mothers considering abortion and the conversion of our Presidents heart in your prayers. God Bless!

Vaccination Book Reading

I finally finished reading The Vaccine Book by Dr. Bob Sears. After telling everyone how anxious I was to get it and start reading it, it only took me about two months or longer to get it finished. Not because it was bad, but because I had other ones I wanted to read and it's not one that you have to sit and continue to read or you'll forget everything. =)

So as promised I said I would give my quick review of the book.

Overall, it was really good and really got me more informed. I would say it's probably more of a pro-vaccine book than an anti-vaccine but gives you both sides pretty well. It almost made me feel though like I should more than I shouldn't vaccinate.

Did it help me make a decision?... well . . . not really. Why. . . because this is a decision I think I will struggle with forever. When and if we get them, or if we don't, I will always wonder if I'm/we are doing the right thing. I think vaccine's are good and that we would be in a world of hurt if we didn't have them. . . are they for everyone. . . I don't think so. Are we one of those people they may not be for. . . right now. . . yes. . . later. . . I don't know. Hmm!

I will continue to think and pray over this. I want to do the best thing for my children. In a way I think it might be the best to start Landen, but spread them out considerably, and opt out of selected shots. Will see and I'm sure to keep everyone updated.

More to the book - I think it's almost a must read for those who want to get informed and not just do something because everyone else is doing it, or their Dr. tells them too. Check it out and let me know what you think. Happy Reading!

Book Reading

I've been doing a bit more reading lately then I usually do. I think it has a lot to do with that I don't have anything I have to read at the moment. I finished reading Theology Of the Body for Beginners by Christopher West a couple weeks ago. Same author who wrote Good News about Sex and Marriage. I had a blog post about it awhile back. Anyway, this is an absolute wonderful book. I think I'm going to read all of Christopher Wests books and hopefully go to one of his conferences that he has (someday). I had heard so much about him in the past and I'm so glad that I finally took the time to read these two. Back to to the book. This one really helps explain the Church's teachings on Marriage, Sex and how it all relates with God, Church, the Eucharist and now a days. Maybe nobody hears to read about what books I think are a must read, but if you do care... get this on and Good News about Sex and Marriage. They're great! Happy reading.

I just finished reading a great book! Good News about Sex and Marriage by Christopher West. Many people told me this was an excellent book, but I kept putting it off thinking it wasn't for me. Well, hello - it was definitely for me and every other married, unmarried, engaged, single person out there. Sometimes I really can't believe how much I don't know. Not that I think I know everything on religion, sex and marriage, but every chapter, page, and question I learned something. Every time I thought of something - it was answered. New Dr. Sears Book

I am a huge fan of Dr. Bill Sears, his wife Martha, and the entire Sears family for that matter. I highly recommend all the books and I use their website all the time... Ask Dr Sears.com


The reason I am posting this is because I'm really excited about Dr. Robert Sears new book that will be released October 22, 2007. I'm having a hard time waiting actually, especially with all the reading and research I have been doing lately on Vaccinating now that Landen is two. The book is - The Vaccine Book: Making the Right Decision for Your Child. If you read the Introduction of this book, I don't know how anyone could not want to read it. It clearly states it is not an anti-vaccine book, but a book to help you make a well informed decision. I thought just reading the introduction was good, so I'm really looking forward to reading it when it's released. You can also pre-order here through Amazon.com.
