Our Finds . . .

My family and I have been finding some amazing deals on garage sales this year. The goods!

After searching the stores, craigs list, the papers and more... I found myself a dining room table on a garage sale for the bargain price of $200. Isn't is lovely? It looks practically new with just a couple scratches.
My dad got the grandkids a Power Wheels for $20. Landen is really the only one oldest enough so he thinks it's his, but between that and the pocket rocket Ethan and Eli ride with him, the kid thinks he's in heaven. I also found a little powered four wheeler for Amelia for $15.
I found one of those mirrors that's in a stand. I don't really have the 'room' for it but I've always wanted one and it's lovely.

One of those carts you hook to a bike and you can push it like a stroller - holds two kids. The part that connects it to the bike is missing (the man said you can get it on eBay), but for $2 it's great for my sister Sara's house. We used it this past weekend.
Those are some of the bigger highlights - of course we find our regular goods that we need for the kids or just to have. Can't beat a garage sale find! Speaking of which - my grandma is having one the first weekend of June if anyone is interested. Our old table will be on the sale.

My Steal Of A Deal!

Yesterday Sara, Becca, the kids and I went to garage sales. We woke up early to venture to one of the neighboring subdivisions to find something amazing - unfortunately we only got a few things and nothing all that exciting. Came home for some lunch and my lovey husband called and told me that a town about 10 miles from here was having town-wide. Sara and I being the crazy garage sale girls that we are, pregnant and all took the cranky kids and I would say I probably hit the jack pot. Firstly I got so many winter clothes for Landen and Amelia that look like new for super cheap & *drum roll* I got a real furniture store glider/rocker for $20. I love it - it's so beautiful (seriously the picture doesn't show it off too well). I'm going to put new material over the upholstery because there is a couple of bad spots and I don't like the fabric choice in my living room. I'm super excited though - I've been looking for a different one because I wanted to move the one I had down here in the living room (which I really like as well) to my bedroom. This photo is for you mom!

Great Garage Sale Find

I'm excited - today the kiddos and I decided to venture out and see if we could find any good garage sales. I haven't hit hardly any garage sales this year because it's hard with both the kids. Amelia and Landen were excellent and I got this six compartment toy holder thing for the toy room. These are expensive to buy new and I got it for $2. It's exactly what I've been looking for to help organize all the toys. I had to tell someone!!!!

Cloth wipes -- say what?

Yes, we are switching to cloth wipes. I'm really excited because I really dislike disposable wipes, actually I hate disposable wipes. What's my big problem with them -- both my kiddo's break out easily from them, they're so rough on their bottoms, you have to use a gazillion when theirs a monster poop (and we always have monstrous poops), and now that we use cloth diapers I have to pick the poopy wipes out of the diaper to throw away. We're officially switched to cloth and what's even cooler -- I made them... myself... without a pattern or anything. Alright I can't take full credit, Teri showed me hers and I was a bit jealous (she's real crafty.. right Teri?!) and decided I had to at least try this myself. I got the material and wa-lah!

So yah, I'm probably like in a super good mood today! First town wide garage sales this year and I was there with my family. Oh my gosh we got some awesome deals and I love a deal. Seriously - garage sales are fun for me. =) I got Amelia some of the most gorgeous clothes and a lot of them for a steal and she's pretty much set for the entire summer, mostly in dresses! I love a little girl in dresses. Oh and I'm a complete sucker for toy's for Landen - he's been entertained with all his new things for well over an hour now. I love garage sales! Why else am I in a super mood -- it's Friday and we have Kurt home for the entire weekend (yes it's something to get excited about) and I won two contests this week. That's right.. two! A book and tote bag for Landen and a little petal dress from Happy Green Bee for Amelia. I feel giddy, seriously giddy.. it's a good day.

Oh and my baby girl is crawling -- yep not just army crawling -- really crawling! Have a great weekend.
