Hmm, hmm, hmm! I've been sneaky lately and got myself a stat counter, one of those nice stat counters that tell you most of the people that come to your page. The URL where they came from and that jazz. I am very, very surprised I have as many lurkers as I do. Honestly I thought maybe a handful of people stopped at my blog daily - not the overwhelming amount that do! =)
Here's the question of the day. Why no comments? Not that I blame you, I'm definitely a lurker myself. I do like when people comment though, and I'm sure if you have a blog yourself you like when people comment. Thanks to those of you who do comment! Here's my real question if you've read this far and you're not a commenter - why, if you stop by do you not comment?
Here's why I don't...
I don't always have a free hand to comment or the time.
I don't have anything to say.
I disagree and don't feel like it's something I have to defend or talk about.
I just don't feel like commenting because I don't have anything of substance to comment about.
If I don't come to your blog regularly I might feel out of the loop - I like to see what it's all about before I become committed. lol!
Someone else has commented the same things several times.
There you have it ... a few reasons that came to my head why I don't comment. What's your excuse?

Funny you post this...I have sitemeter on my blog and because I use wordpress, I do not have access to referring URLs. I have been toying with the idea of moving the blog over to blogger because there is so much more that blogger will let you do. Wordpress is not down with Java Script. So much of the cool things (like the Polish Madonna picture) are not able to be used on my blog. hmph.
However, lazy me does not want to copy and paste every single post I have ever made. Maybe one day I will be inspired, bored, and actually have time on my hands to do such a tedious task.
ohhhhh you copied that from me!! HAHAHAHAHA So have you seen me on your list?? I'm easy to spot..I'm the one who appears to spend like 7 hrs straight there because someone suddenly pulled me away from the computer mid-read HAHAHAHA
I too wish more people would comment. I'm guessing in my case people are just afraid to provoke the crazy woman =P
Anywho my reasons for not commenting are about the same as yours.
I'll admit to being a lurker. Partly that's because I often read your posts in Google Reader - and don't always click through.
And I guess I don't comment - because I don't have anything to say.
But I must say, I do think your children are adorable. Mine are getting older (8 and 11 already!)
Hi Andrea! Now I'm feeling guilty, because while I still LOVE reading your blog, I seldom comment anymore for many of the reasons you listed. Mostly, in my case, it's because I usually read while I'm nursing and/or holding a baby, and when I DO have something to say, I never remember to come back and actually SAY it until the moment has passed! :)
