I am so glad you decided to post this! Now that I have no babies in the house, I sometimes feel so far from the whole nursing issue--I love reading things like this to remind me of how amazing it is. I went through a period of time during/after weaning Landon when I was so irritated with nursing and it scared me! I thought I'd never want to do it again and it is my whole basis for parenting! Well, I am back to feeling good about doing it again--All I need is a baby! Pray hard for me about that--I need it!

You know, I think it's so easy to forget that nursing is so much more than offering nourishment and food alone. Especially when you're running on no sleep and feel like a cow-literally.

I'm a firm believer in the mental and psychological benefits of breastfeeding. Fine-it's not for everyone. But for those of us who it IS for, we should not be attacked or made to feel funny because we're doing what we feel is best for our baby.

Thanks for the article links.
I'm refraining from reading all of the comments on those links, because I'd get too fired up.
