Just another Manic...

Tuesday we headed over to Teri and Liesie's place for a little fun and... Potato Soup! Yummy!
The kids had a pretty good time, Landen was in his -"I'm not going to share on my life" mood and Liesie is just coming into that stage as well, and they were her toys so it didn't mix too well. Unfortunately we had to leave sooner than I wanted because I was feeling stressed out. =) Check out this adorable picture of them though...
Wednesday, we had story time. That's where Landen decided to throw a puzzle piece at a kids head, he kept taking the pieces from him, but still, throwing is not nice. I then precede to get the look from some people -"your kid is not being good," You gotta know the look. =( So anyway, I really do try with Landen, I don't want to be one of those parents who lets their kids run loose and hurt others, but sometimes I can't get him and hold Amelia at the same time. He is after all two and he's usually good. I'm not trying to make him out as a bad kid, because he's not. Oh man.. a thought.. what happens when you have three, or four, or five to watch over? Help me!
After story time we went to my parents house. My sister Maggie was home and she wanted us to see her new Jeep she just got. It's a beautiful purple/maroon color, leather seats & heated, sun roof. Very sharp! However, it's not practical for us.. when did I become one of those people who are thinking practical instead of - "ooh that's just so cute?" I suppose when I had children. I already told Kurt I'm ready for mini-van! When we have another baby will have too - there is no way three car seats can fit in the back of the Alero. =) I suppose I'm ready to be called a Mini-Van Momma!

Okay, Andrea, stop living my life for me! LOL! I swear, our Landon/Landens are EXACTLY alike--I get the same "looks" from moms who act like a.) they've never seen a loud, hyper two-year-old boy in their lives and b.) there's a simple way to control an independent kid! Thenwe, as a result of the accusing stares, are forced to treat the boys differently than we would at home...which confuses them and usually pisses them off...and here comes the snowball effect. We look bad, the boys look bad, etc...(sigh) Anyways, I feel your pain on every level!

Now about mini-vans...I always SWORE I would never drive a mini-van--I despised them and made fun of the little soccer-moms who pranced around town in them....but NOOOWWWWWW I'm starting to want one. Uh Oh! I want a car that I can put my kid into without hitting his head on the roof. I want a car big enough to fit my huge husband's loooong legs...one that has a dvd player for long car trips....I better stop there, but you get my point! We already have a Mountaineer and even though it's huge, it's not big enough. I'll keep you posted!

I'm the dork. The BIG DORK. And I don't care. We've had a mini-van for some time now. We actually traded in my dh's car (Civic) for our Odyssey when Aidan was only 14 months. We weren't even pg w/ our 2nd yet. You know what? We love it. We always have enough room. We're not crammed in for lack of storage. Also, they are so safe! Our insurance really went down. We looked into SUVs, but insurance was higher, safety rate was lower, and there'd be no trunk space w/ everyone in the car!

I love the mini-van. People have made fun of us, but those people don't have enough room in THEIR cars. lol.

(oh, I should add we do a lot of traveling to see family, so it was a huge factor for us in deciding. Michigan to South Carolina is about a 13 hour drive, so we needs lots to do! The mini-van became a godsend for those trips. ;)
