be doing so much better this morning that we went for a long walk and then decided to do some outdoor finger painting. I found the recipe on some blog; I can't remember where or when, but managed to remember how to make it. We had lots of fun making crazy pictures and running in it and making our feet prints and hand prints. Amelia enjoyed eating it - or attempting to eat it. The fun ran sour though when Landen started feeling sick again. We're back inside taking rests! If you want something fun to do with your kids though - here's how to make it... 3 cups hot water, 1 cup cornstarch (add more if you want it thicker) and food coloring. We put it in plastic cups and used our fingers because we had no brushes. It was messy but lots of fun! We have some beautiful art work on our driveway now.. along with the chalk displays that's always there. =)Now I just have to break out that book I just got on cool crafts for kids. Landen's getting to that age that he can really get into that sort of stuff.

Thanks for the recipe! I was hoping you'd share it. ;) Does it clean up well? (particularly clothes)
I'm so happy he's feeling better. Isn't it heartbreaking when they're sick?!
They are so cute!!! Driveway/sidewalk art is so fun!
I am sorry Landen is feeling bad. Hope he feels much better soon!
Ooh! GOOD IDEA! Thanks for the recipe! We're a little sick of sidewalk chalk around here--Landon has moved on to spraying the chalk with his water gun until it dissolves into a puddle instead of drawing with it. This would be a welcome change for both of us, mes or not! :o)
Happy Birthday to the poor little sickling--That story broke my heart!! :o( I bet he'll be all over those toys as soon as he's feeling better (praying that it comes sooner than later!) Poor little thing!
Wow, that's so cool! Does it clean up off of clothes very well, do you know? I've been on vacation and missed so much of your blog. Happy Birthday to Landen. Sorry to hear he is sick. Your porch looks fantastic and your house is so cute! Your shoplifting story made me feel mad on your behalf. How dare they treat you like a criminal! We "stole" Twizzlers from WalMart once and I didn't feel like going back in. So the next time I was there I asked the clerk to ring up Twizzlers but not put them in my bag. She was so confused. I told her that we accidentally stole some last time and that I wanted to pay for them. She told me I was "weird" but did it anyway. It does seem like it would just be easier to keep the stuff!! Congratulations on your blog award!!
I'm so impressed you are so crafty with them. I need to do that more. And hope Landen is feeling better today!
