I recently read this small article from the American Life League about the Birth Control Pill.
I personally believe that a lot of people who use the pill don't really know what it's all about. Even if my beliefs were different and I did think birth control (other than NFP) was okay, I wouldn't be able to take it. Don't be blind to the facts.
I encourage everyone who stops by my blog, no matter what you believe to read this article. It's not long, but it has some good information.

Thanks for posting this! I've been meaning to post about BC/NFP for awhile, but I can never seem to sit in one place long enough to get it done the right way. I think that society has everyone blinded about the effects of the Pill on our bodies. I mean, COME ON! Just watch one of the commercials! they go on for five minutes at the end of each ad, mumbling all of the dangerous side effects--DUH! It's bad news! Good article. Post more as you find them--It's good for uninformed/misinformed people to see this. :o)
I agree with you SOOOO much! I know many people who have problems which I believe are due to taking the pill...but they just don't know, and don't even research it! I am SOOO happy that I did my research before I got married and have never taken the pill - and yeah, even though we weren't on the pill and were using natural birth control we didn't get pregnant for 4 years ! So it DOES work!!! Better than the pill too...
I really wish NFP was taught to teenagers and I plan to teach it to my daughters myself at that age because there is SO MUCH MORE to it than articles on either side of the issue can tell. The pill does actually offer some medical benefits. BUT they are just bandaids not cures and there are many natural ways to get our bodies to work more smoothly rather than making our bodies reliant on artifical chemicals that cause other problems for every one it helps. It's hard to be FULLY informed.
Glad to see some information getting out about the pill. My husband and I researched it over 10 years ago and decided not to use it any more. When we tried to have a baby, it took 2 years. I guess that the hormones from the pill were still in me. Once I had the first baby, we used NFP. We now have 5 and we didn't have to wait at all to get pregnant with the other 4.
