Jesus Needs A Break!

Last night I was putting Landen to bed. He had missed his nap earlier in the day because for some reason he doesn't think he needs one anymore (argh). We read our book and this is our conversation afterwards -

Me: Lets say our prayers now.

Landen: Okay.. umm.. wait, wait..... Mom, Jesus needs a break tonight.

Me: Why do you think Jesus needs a break?

Landen: From all those prayers we say, he needs a break.

Me: Jesus never wants a break, he loves when we pray even when we don't want too.

Landen: I'm just too tired - rubbing his eyes and yawning.

Me: Okay, I'll say them and you listen.

He was asleep before the Our Father was finished. The things he comes up with!!!

I have to add that I am so proud of him. About a week ago Kurt put him to bed and came down telling me that Landen had said all his prayers on his own. I was like - okay, he's been saying them but I always have to help him. I dismissed it. A few days later I put Landen to sleep and he said all of his prayers on his own, no help! Sign of the cross, Hail Mary, Our Father and the Glory Be! I about started crying.

Sometimes I wonder if what we are doing is right, you don't always see progress - but in time and even though you don't see it - it's there, implanted in your child (helping our family) and I'm so happy he's growing closer to Christ.

That is so funny! He sounds like a hilarious child. Isn't it wonderful that we have a God who never gets tired of our prayers!!

That is so funny. Kayla tries that but she's older.

Hey I have a question for you. Remember the tea that you told me to try when I was pregnant with Dayna? You took it during your pregnancy and said it was NASTY but it is supposed to help with post bleeding? What was it?
