I got Amelia on my back with the Mei Tei, it was a little work, but well worth it. She fell asleep fairly quick and I was able to get a lot done. However - for you experienced baby wearers... how do you adjust the straps while wearing the baby on your back? It crosses across my chest and really accentuates the boobies. Believe me, not a pretty sight - no pictures because of that reason. I can't wear it out in public w
hen I have this tight material wrapped all around them. Not good, not good at all. Any suggestions? Until I figure something else out, she will only be worn on my front in public. The pictures are my sweet Landen learning to be a baby wearer. He brought Amelia's glow worm and the Mei Tei to me and wanted to wear "his baby". He did for a long time too! I love how kids copy things that are so sweet.

When I wear Tate in my mei tai on my back I never cross the straps in front of my chest. I actually find that way quite uncomfortable compared to the other way...the way I do it is a backpack style...you just pull the straps over your shoulders and under your armpits (no crossing in front or anything) - just like backpack straps would be...and then you can tie it in the back, or however you normally tie it. I like this way a lot better! :) Good luck! And Landen is adorable...I want to make Tate a little mei tai too...it's on my list of things to do before the baby arrives! :)
I would guess doing it backpack style too but I'll ask my sis if that is secure enough since I don't have much experience with the mei tei myself.
the pics are adorable by the way!!
oh what a cutie! he looks so proud!
I never felt comfortable wearing the straps over the boobs in public unless it was my BBO Mei tai (which had a wide strap that fully covered the boob. No cutting in half haha)
Id just wear it runsack. Like a back pack basically. I can do a video if you want :-) if my chiropractor approves LOL
