Two things that have been really helping me lately; as I strive to draw closer to Christ.
"Am I giving Him the best part of my day." A friend said this awhile ago and it has really stuck with me. I usually have prayer as the last thing to do - once I do this on the computer, oh once I get this done around the house. This has really been helping me - because prayer really is more important than a lot of things I put before it.
"If you aren't being persecuted in your life, then you aren't following closely enough to Christ." This one my mom and sister remind me of a lot. It seems that in the last few months a lot of things have happened, or been said to me because I have been trying. This is a hard one too because it hurts to be hurt, but I know I have been drawing more and more close to him and isn't that what it's all about?

Good post--I am going through this same thing since the beginning of Lent--an e-mail discussion, I know, but I had to comment--I finished reading Dark Night of the Sould and I'm halfway through the book with Mother Teresa's letters--WOAH! I'll tell you about everything off-blog :o)

Wow! That is one I'm going to have to really think about. Does it count that a woman at soccer today questioned me about why I would possibly want to have 5 kids when she heard I was pregnant with the 5th? My answer: because we have had a chance to get started on the 6th one yet! :-)
