What am I doing?!?

I've committed to pushing my muscles to the point of exhaustion! My sister Rebecca and I are going to take a kickboxing class together; two times a week for seven weeks.

I'm not sure but I think this could be mere torture for someone who hasn't worked out in a very long time. The elliptical I swore I was going to start using regularly has been sitting there staring at me collecting dust for sometime now.

I'm really hoping this is a lot of fun! It sounds fun. When I went in to pick up the forms the ever so sweet ladies told me (when I asked about the class) that my 17 year old sister would have no problem but I on the other hand better get bending and stretching. Excuse me? They didn't even see Beck.. she could be incredibly huge, no arms, hardly able to breathe, some one eyed horned beast, but since she was 17 she could handle it!!!! I though... 25, not looking that bad (well at least I don't think I do.. oh goodness.. maybe someone sees something I don't.. lol) might need to start working out now. I had to laugh though.. Beck will be a lot better than me at this, she's a skinny fit little thing, but it was funny the way the ladies said it not even knowing who my sister was. I do need to point out though that they absolutely weren't trying to be mean or anything, just giving me some good(?) advice. =)

So, this is going to be my adventure. I'm sure to keep you all updated on what happens to me! LoL! Anyone ever take kickboxing before? Is it all everyone keeps telling me is it, a good work out?

I have never tried kickboxing before, but I have roughed my joints up so bad over the years doing other things (including having a baby--lol) that kickboxing is pretty much out of the question for good. I do go to an amazing yoga/pilates class twice a week with this south african instructor who I adore!!! (She's in india right now--her blog is on my blog list) Look at her website sometime, too: www.yoganize.com

She's catholic, too and hilarious! She can give you a six-pack in about two weeks! It really kicks my butt!!

Hi Andrea! Me again. :)

I was so happy to see your comment! I'd love to hear of any recipe you have to increase milk supply. I'll try anything at this point!

P.S. I've always thought kickboxing sounds like so much fun. Can't wait to hear how you like it! Good luck!

I do Jazzercise three nights a week and it actually has a few kickboxing style routines. Now, it's nothing like the real deal, so my hat is off to ya! However, you will get an incredible workout! Talk about being tone!

I am so jealous! I love kickboxing classes, and it is a GREAT work out. Just don't judge it by the first couple of classes...ha! It will definitely be a workout for you.
I'd love to join you. I hope you have fun!
