I've been telling Kurt for awhile now that I wanted a new camera.. well a couple of days ago I dropped my camera, some how it just flew out of my hands. I'm serious I did not drop it on purpose, I wouldn't have done that until I already had a new one. Ha ha, just kidding, I wouldn't ever do that. Well, now the camera is being finicky and not working correctly. How can I take pictures daily without my camera?
I have a question for you picture taking mommy's out there, who just like me have lots of photo's of your kiddo's on your blogs. What kind of camera do you use? Do you like it? What's your favorite features? I don't want to spend hundreds and hundreds.. I want something small and slim, I'd like it to have a big face on the back (that you view the pictures on), something that you can change the colors from the camera and possibly take video.
I am not a camera expert at all. I don't want to just go out and buy the first thing I see that looks good without a bit of research. My sister has a Canon elf and I like that. Any suggestions?

I just have a plain ole' Kodak Easy Share so I'm not the one to ask. But I did want to let you know that I tagged you for the Parable Meme on my blog! Enjoy!
I love, LOVE, LOOOVVVEE my camera, but it is neither small nor slim....and it costs several hundreds of dollars, so I'm useless in this discussion :o) This does remind me that I need a purse-friendly camera, though. Or maybe I can just buy a bigger camera case and shove some make-up and a check book in w/ my purse...hmm...food for thought ;o)
PS) My sister has a really great little camera that was pretty cheap as great cameras go and it can do EVERYTHING! I'll find out what kind it is for you! :o)
I'd recommend the Cannon SD870 IS. It's good. It has more of a wide angle, so you don't have to back up as far for certain shots. It does decently well in low light conditions...as long as you have a steady hand...lol. It has Cannon's new image processor, which is sweet. And it has a 3 inch screen. It's 8 megapixel, so you'll be able to print 8x10s, and they'll look nice. I think online at a reputable website, it costs around $250.
My two cents.
oops, not Cannon...Canon. ha!
I had a Polaroid from woot.com. My hubby got it for me for Christmas. But....Frick broke it. So, I am also out of a camera. The pictures that are posted from the beach are from my SIL's camera. I suppose it would be beneficial for me to pay attention to the other comments on this post b/c I am in the same boat. Let me know what you are getting!
I would suggest the Canon SD1100. Very nice little camera, and less than $300. That's the one I wanted, but my hubby wanted the SX100 IS. Oh well, it works too :)
